About Me

Hi, I’m Derron Yu, a Master of Finance candidate at the Rotman School of Management with a passion for markets, sustainable finance, and data-driven decision-making. My background in Economics, International Relations, and Statistics gives me a unique perspective on how financial systems connect to global trends, policy, and sustainability.

Previously, as a Financial Analyst at University Health Network (UHN), I managed multi-million-dollar research grants and clinical trial budgets, working closely with stakeholders to ensure financial sustainability in healthcare research.
Beyond finance, I’m a firm believer in using capital to drive sustainable and impactful change. I’ve competed in business case competitions focused on ESG and impact investing, consulted for sustainability-focused organizations, and co-founded a mental health nonprofit during the pandemic as part of a Harvard-led initiative.

I’m always up for a conversation about markets, trading strategies, sustainable finance, or just great movies and thrifting finds.

Through my website, I hope you’ll be able to understand my skill set, diverse set of work experiences, and passion for a variety of fields including finance, sustainability, sports business, economics and gaming! Feel free to reach out through my various social media and professional platforms.
